Cardboard Soldier - America's Army, 2009

Cardboard papercraft sculpture created from 3D data extracted from the America's Army computer game, processed using Pepakura Designer adapted for large scale reproduction. My avatar, killed during the performance of dead-in-iraqdead-in-iraq, is recreated here as a 15 foot long cardboard sculpture. The piece was created on site in Beijing The Man Who Fell to Earth as part of the 798 Beijing Biennale. This piece was shown again in 2010 at the Beijing Art Contemporary Art Fair - after this exhibition the piece was destroyed and recycled.
